SOFTWARE ARCHITECT · FRONTEND ENGINEERING · END-TO-END DELIVERY

Complex problem.
No obvious path.
I find a way to build it.

I design and build complex software products end to end, with deep expertise in frontend architecture and the range to work across backend, data, testing and delivery whenever the product requires it.

I am most useful when requirements are incomplete, constraints conflict, and someone needs to investigate the options, make the decisions and take responsibility for the result.

SELECTED PROFESSIONAL IMPACT

Architecture, delivery and leadership in practice

I have worked as an architect, technical lead and hands-on engineer across enterprise platforms, greenfield products and data-intensive applications.

The common thread is ownership: understanding the real problem, making the technical decisions and staying close enough to implementation to make them work.

ITX · Senior Front-end Developer · 2025

Recovered a delayed React platform

Refactored four React micro-frontends, removed critical architectural debt and brought a roadmap that was five months behind back under control, completing the planned work one sprint early.

SCOR · Sole Frontend Specialist · 2023–2024

Owned a data-intensive product end to end

Designed and delivered a risk-analysis application capable of interactively exploring millions of data points, owning the work from UX and API contracts to architecture, performance, testing and release.

Swiss Re · Front-end Architect & Guild Lead · 2021–2023

Set architecture across roughly 20 applications

Defined engineering standards across Angular, React and Vue systems, led the move to an Nx-based modular platform, and founded a frontend guild that trained and supported more than 100 engineers.

Swisscom · Principal Frontend Engineer & Technical Lead · 2018–2020

Led teams without leaving implementation behind

Led 5–6 engineers across two teams and four greenfield applications while remaining hands-on across Angular, Node.js services, shared libraries, testing and CI/CD.

INDEPENDENT PRODUCT

Nimlat: end-to-end ownership made visible

I built Nimlat to solve a personal problem: managing a large anime library without depending on scattered websites or a central backend.

It became a complete local-first desktop product and the clearest example of how I work when I own the whole system.

I defined the product, designed its visual language and architecture, built the React and Electron application, local data model, background services and provider integrations, and handled testing, packaging, updates and distribution.

  • Nearly 20,000 titles
  • React 19, Electron, PixiJS and TypeScript
  • Three specialized SQLite databases
  • Typed IPC, persistent queues, caching and recovery

The domain is anime. The engineering problems are not niche.

Nimlat shows that I can investigate unfamiliar constraints, make decisions across the entire system and keep pushing until an ambitious product is coherent, usable and releasable.

HOW I WORK

I do not need the path to be obvious before I start.

I need the problem, the constraints and enough ownership to investigate it properly.

Follow the problem across boundaries

When UX, APIs, data, performance or delivery are part of the same product problem, I work across those layers instead of treating them as someone else’s concern.

Investigate before accepting a limitation

When the obvious approach fails, I research, prototype and measure alternatives before reducing scope or declaring something impossible.

Keep architecture executable

An architectural decision is only useful if it survives implementation, deadlines, maintenance and real user behavior. I stay hands-on enough to verify that it does.

Make knowledge transferable

I explain decisions, document reusable patterns and mentor engineers so the team becomes more capable rather than more dependent on me.

CORE EXPERTISE

Depth in frontend. Range across the product.

Frontend and application architecture are my strongest areas. My broader experience allows me to own the surrounding system whenever the product requires it.

Application architecture

System boundaries, modular design, domain modeling, state architecture, integration strategy, performance and long-term system evolution.

Complex frontend engineering

Angular, React and TypeScript applications, data-intensive interfaces, desktop products, accessibility, virtualization and custom interaction systems.

End-to-end product delivery

Backend services, APIs, SQL and NoSQL data, background processing, third-party integrations, automated testing, CI/CD and native packaging.

Technical leadership

Architecture reviews, mentoring, engineering standards, stakeholder communication, technical decision-making and recovery of difficult projects.

  • Angular · React · TypeScript · Electron · Node.js · NestJS · Nx · NgRx · RxJS · SQLite · PostgreSQL · Cypress · Jest · CI/CD

AVAILABLE FOR FULLY REMOTE ROLES

Need someone who can own the architecture and still build the difficult parts?

I work fully remotely from Conegliano, Italy, with European and international teams.

I am interested in senior individual-contributor and technical-lead roles spanning software architecture, frontend architecture and end-to-end product engineering.
